Tutoring Progress Description:

The student has recalled, practiced and reviewed the Ratios, Percents and Estimation, Integers, Rational Numbers, Exponents and Powers, Variables and Polynomials, and solving the Algebra Equations.

Strengths:

XXXX demonstrates strong analytical skills. He is able to apply what he learned in everyday situations. He is also a fast learner. He shows enthusiasm in his work and is very cooperative.

Refinements/ Improvements:

He will need to check his work more carefully. Based on his midterm quiz the following weaknesses were found:

    1. Mechanical errors and basic arithmetic errors.
    2. Confusion in the math rules of operations.
    3. Incomplete math solution such as simplifying the answer.
    4. Forgetting to use the scientific notation appropriately.
    5. Word problem interpretation error.

Overall impression:

He is a logical and quick learner, but he will need to watch his math errors.

Next Steps:

We will continue with the following lessons: Algebraic Equations, Linear Equations and Graphing, Area, Volume and Geometry. In addition, the above refinements will need to be worked on.
